This is Local Restaurant Week in Buffalo, and a number of restaurants are offering one or two options off their menu, for only $20.99. Last night we went to Black and Blue, an awesome steak & crab house. The inside was so hip and modern, with a huge floor to ceiling, glass wine enclosure. The waiters were friendly and waited on all tables simultaneously, not just one waiter per table. We were given warm bread, a croissant variety and a pretzel kind with a sweet butter spread to start. Next was our mussels appetizer (the only part of our meal that was not included in the $20.99 deal) followed by big salads with a raspberry vinaigrette. For the main course we could choose from a 10oz top Sirloin with a potato cake and Lobster buerre blank or pan seared Salmon with a cauliflower puree. Tough choice, but I went with the steak. The Lobster buerre blanc was to die for and excellent for dipping the steak in. Dessert (yes we had four courses! LOL) was a chocolate raspberry torte that was nothing but decadent chocolate deliciousness!!!! It was a pure dream! I love everything about it and can’t wait to go back!

The Abraham Lincoln Blog
Not only is this blog well written with lots of interesting facts, but the newest post is awesome! It seems a new Abraham Lincoln photo has been discovered, making it the only possible photo of him in front of the White House. The owner (pictured on the blog along with the photo) bought it from President Ulysses S. Grant's great-great grandson for $50,000!!

T.O. in Buffalo
I've been going back and forth with the idea of T.O. playing for the Bills... and I can't come to a conclusion on what I think of the matter. Usually I have an opinion about everything! But I just can't wrap my head around the idea of Terrell Owens liking a "small" city like Buffalo. Yeah sure, he can only do things for the Bills, and that's a plus. But what if he doesn't lose his T.O attitude? I think if anything, he'll probably get more cocky if he brings the Bills to even the playoffs. Which I certainly hope for with the Bills! See my yo-yo thought process here? LOL

Cranberry-Mustard Pork Tenderloin
I made this tenderloin in my crock-pot on Saturday and it was TO DIE FOR! The cranberry-mustard mixture melts down to a fabulous gravy to spoon over the pork. Add a tasty side and you have a meal that will melt any taste buds! I went with an olive oil, garlic, broccoli pasta. YUM!
