Earth Hour Movie - Narrated by Jeremy Piven

Don't forget about Earth Hour tonight!

earth Tonight at 8p, for one hour shut off all of your lights, appliances, etc. Try to conserve energy for just one hour. Go Green!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

From their website:
On March 29, 2008 at 8 p.m., join millions of people around the world in making a statement about climate change by turning off your lights for Earth Hour, an event created by the World Wildlife Fund.

Earth Hour was created by WWF in Sydney, Australia in 2007, and in one year has grown from an event in one city to a global movement. In 2008, millions of people, businesses, governments and civic organizations in nearly 200 cities around the globe will turn out for Earth Hour. More than 100 cities across North America will participate, including the US flagships–Atlanta, Chicago, Phoenix and San Francisco and Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.

We invite everyone throughout North America and around the world to turn off the lights for an hour starting at 8 p.m. (your own local time)–whether at home or at work, with friends and family or solo, in a big city or a small town.

What will you do when the lights are off? We have lots of ideas.

Join people all around the world in showing that you care about our planet and want to play a part in helping to fight climate change. Don’t forget to sign up and let us know you want to join Earth Hour.

One hour, America. Earth Hour. Turn out for Earth Hour!

Us girls went out to dinner to BK Ryan's, an Irish restuarant/pub in spirit of the holiday! I got the fish fry and it was absolutely delicious! The best I've ever had!! Oh and on a side note I went back again tonight because I was craving another! LOL

Then it was back to Laura and Heather's to party around the bar and drink green beer! And I wore the shirt Jamie Hill bought me from Jimmy Z's! Isn't it awesome!? Totally me!!!

Now I've ordered from the Rainforest site again!! This time I got two large solar illuminated mushroom stakes that double as plant waterers! How cool is that!

I keep forgetting to check them out at night though! LOL!

Daffodil Days!

You probably remember from an earlier post of mine that I sold Daffodil's for the American Cancer Society in February. Well on Wednesday they were finally delivered!!

FedEx dropped them off in two boxes, which I was shocking because I ordered a good-sized amount! Well the bunches of 10 were separated and rolled in green tissue paper with instructions to cut the ends and place them in lukewarm water. The smaller potted plants were in the 2ND box. It a great surprise at 4p at work!!

I choose one of each as I've never bought them before. The plant I left at work by my window and the next day, Thursday morning, they'd already opened up!

The fresh cut took a day to start blooming. At the jewelry party I felt like I could actually see them opening. Every time I snuck a look I swore they were looking bigger and bigger!

And these are them today!

What a difference it is to have fresh daffodils around! Especially at that point where you can't take winter anymore and summer still seems so far off! I will always, from this year on, order/sell these daffodil's!! :o)

I love saving the Rainforest!

I have found this amazing website to shop on! Everyday when I can remember, I will go to the Breast Cancer "Click to Give" site. Clicks count towards free mammograms! After awhile I noticed at the top there were other tabs to click for other causes! Now I click for the rainforest when I remember too.

Well they also have a great online website there proceeds go towards helping as well. I just purchsed this nice crane necklace that I got today! And my total saved 1145 sq feet of land in the rainforest! HOW COOL IS THAT!? And the necklace even came in a little wooden bamboo box! I love it!

Dad's Birthday Party!

Dad had a great "last 50" birthday! I came from the city with decorations, gag gifts and balloons! My favorite balloon was this pirate skull with devil horns! Perfect for Bad Eddie!

Dad had a great time (as did we all!) laughing and joking with friends!

He got some good gag gifts. Mom got him an inflatable, portable toilet! I never got a picture, but here's Kim & Doug's gag gift: OLD EDDIE! hahaha

We've Become Restuarant Critics!

Shayna, Joe and myself had a mini Bona's alumni of our own since we all live in Buffalo! We went to O for a delicious dinner and decided that we should go every month to a new restaurant for dinner, then critique it! I can't wait! :o)
